Q. Why do I need Cytlok?

A.

Currently, computer users connected to the Internet have, at best, limited control over their own computers which are open to intrusion ("hacked") without their knowledge or permission. Individual users as well as businesses are equally susceptible to unauthorized or illegal entries. Your data (e.g., financial, personal or business information) can be read, altered or destroyed accidentally, or by unscrupulous individuals. Until now, very little real protection has existed for networked or Internet- connected workstations or individual PCs.

Like most large communities, the Internet has become a vast plethora of cultural, educational and social activities. Information is accessible and bountiful on every subject imaginable. Because of this seemingly endless exposure to every nook and cranny of our society, not to mention the ever-expanding technologies present, we, the connected, are exposed to an ever-widening array of hazards. Cytlok protects your entire system from boot sector viruses, Trojan programs, logic bombs, Internet worms, macro viruses, and the occasionally unscrupulous hacker who may extract your personal information, stalk your family members, steal your financial information, or corrupt or remove important or critical path business data.

E-mail may contain executables with viruses or contain scripts, which can gather your personal, financial or confidential information.

You can buy an anti-virus program, pornography filters, a port scanner, an E-mail filter, and a host of other personal firewall offerings and protection devices. In most cases you'll be required to upgrade these programs regularly to keep them effective. You can do all of these things and still not be as protected as well as you are with Cytlok. Cytlok's broad array of functionalities covers all the bases for you, and you n ever need to upgrade.

Cytlok is solid new technology, tested and proven. Cytlok protects your workstation, laptop or connected PC completely.

Q. How exposed am I to these problems?

A.

If your network or PC is connected, directly or indirectly to the Internet, you are exposed. Rarely does a day pass when the media is not addressing yet another hack attack, a new malicious virus or some other adversity on the Internet. Without the proper protection, you never know when your system has been compromised or if your data has been violated.

Consider this: Do you keep personal, confidential, critical business or financial information on your computer? Do you maintain confidential information in your data files? Do you purchase products or services via the Internet? Do you use IRC (chat rooms) or E-mail to communicate? Will your anti-virus program stop viruses or only repair their damage? Do your children use the Internet for education or entertainment? Do you download software programs or information files or pictures from the Internet? Can you control Internet service (Web, E-mail, FTP, IRC, Telnet, etc.) use on your computer? What would it cost you to replace your hard drive or the information in your files as well as new software?

How would it affect you if someone started using your identity, your confidential business or personal information, or your financial credentials?

Did you know others can read your hard drive, write to your files and folders, remove or delete data from your system every time you are connected to the Internet or any shared network system?

Did you know others could see every Web site you've ever been to, including the time and date and what you downloaded?

Did you know that others could do everything on your computer that you can do, remotely and without your knowledge or permission?

Q. How does Cytlok work?

A.

Cytlok operates from within the operating system. Nothing in your system can boot up between your operating system and Cytlok. Cytlok provides a unique advantage in the manipulation and management of the folders and files, the most important system resources, by operating at "Ring 0" (kernel level).

Cytlok is application-specific, which allows Cytlok to stop, manage and control unknown, as well as known hostile applets, malicious scripts, Trojan programs, logic bombs, viruses, uninvited intrusions, hacks and other unauthorized events.

Cytlok never requires costly and time-consuming upgrades to remain current. Cytlok only upgrades to improve or add functionalities, and to support new technologies.

Core Security Controls: Prevents the reading of, writing to, deletion, removal or execution of programs and files, without predefined authorization, from servers and workstations with real-time security, intrusion detection and system management.

Access Controls: Restricts accesses to any unauthorized would-be users with positive identity control. Password permission set on a file protects access by unauthorized users. Unauthorized attempts activate a violations dialog box and prompt for a correct password.

Encryption: Allows encryption of a file so that its contents are unreadable and unusable and can only be decrypted through Cytlok.

Private Storage: Positively hides sensitive, mission-critical, confidential business data, financial files, DLLs, databases, encryption keys, server/firewall passwords and other critical data.

VirusX: Protects hard drive boot sectors from known and viruses. Stops malicious viruses before damage occurs.

Inheritance: Automatically protects the files in a folder when the folder is protected.

Critical Backup: Creates a backup or duplicate file (specified) before it can be opened for modification, thus securing original data.

Logs/Analysis: Automatically logs all attempts to compromise (violate) the system and identifies the IP address of an intruder, provides time/date stamp and notifies the administrator.

Port Denial: Allows browsing while blocking the user of specified ports, such as E-mail, FTP, Telnet, IRC, etc. A truly Internet-based (not just Web-based) security/control feature. Contributes to workstation operator productivity.
